In Sierra Nevada Community Aquatics (SNCA) and your Board of Director’s opinion the locker room design at the new Moana Springs Pool is significantly deficient. Our SNM teammate Rich Wait has recently highlighted this issue in our local media. Thank you, Rich.

Workout Schedule Transition Northwest Pool to Idlewild Pool
For now, SNM will continue swim workouts at Northwest Pool. Swimming short course at Idlewild Pool (6-days/week) could start in May when morning weather permits. More information ‘may’ follow.
Idlewild Pool morning swim workouts in long course orientation are scheduled for Monday – Friday (5:30 am – 7:00 am) starting on Friday June 7, 2024, and continue throughout the summer. Saturday morning swim workouts (6:00 am – 7:30 am) at Idlewild Pool will be in short course configuration.
When the new Moana Pool opens (planned for Friday August 23, 2024), we pivot from Idlewild Pool to Moana Pool.
Pacific Masters Swim Meet
Short Course Yard Championships are Friday – Sunday May 17 – 19, 2024, at North Natomas Aquatic Center, Sacramento, CA. Registration closes Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 11:59 pm for swimmers entering individual events and Sunday, May 12, at 11:59 pm for relay-only swimmers. As this date and location may be convenient for our members, Coach Steve is encouraging team participation.
2024 Spring Nationals
USMS Spring Nationals are June 20-24, 2024, at the Indiana University Natatorium. Entries will close on May 28, 2024 (a “late” registration surcharge now applies). The meet will take place during the final weekend of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming, which are scheduled for June 15–23 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
The Olympic Games in Paris are scheduled to start July 26, 2024.
Silver State Masters Long Course Meet
Sunday, July 7, 2024
Carson City Aquatic Center
This is a wonderful opportunity for SNM swimmers to compete locally and obtain official long course times. SNM is again hosting this event with Carson Tigersharks Masters.
Pacific Masters Long Course Championships, in Novato CA, are scheduled for August 2-4, 2024. USMS Summer Nationals, in Mission Viejo, CA, are scheduled for August 21–25, 2024.
Donner Lake Swim 2024
The 43rd Annual Donner Lake Swim will be on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Registration opens Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 9:00 am Pacific Time.
Volunteers for race day are needed including motorized boats, kayakers, and assistance at the start/finish.
