Workout Schedule Idlewild Pool, Summer 2026.

No workout is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026, due to SNM hosting the Donner Lake Swim.

Our current plan endorsed by the City of Reno is to continue swimming LCM at Idlewild pool through Labor Day. After that, into Moana Pool.

Request for Beer Donations

We are quickly approaching our annual Donner Lake Swim.

The committee chairman of the beer donation campaign for the DLS humbly requests your contributions. As a committee of one, I am estimating we need 240 beers for the event. That translates to 10 cases of canned beer. The DLS is asking for a wide variety of beers to satisfy many tastes and palates. I have received requests for non-alcoholic (NA) beer as well.

Here is a short list and by no means exclusive of what we need:

1 case of Coors Light cans
1 case of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale cans or other exotic flavors produced by Sierra Brewing Company
1 case of NA beer, cans
1 case of Kona Brewing Company beer, i.e., Longboard, Kona Big Wave Golden Ale, cans
A twelve pack of Michelob Ultra, cans, otherwise known as “Mickey Slims”
Cases of canned exotic, craft, or lesser-known beers
Kombucha

Beers do not have to be cold. We will have ice and ice chests at the DLS.

I will be at Idlewild Pool at these SNM workouts to receive your donations:
Monday August 3, Tuesday August 4, Wednesday August 5, Thursday August 6, Friday August 7.

Summer Party on Saturday, September 12, 2026, starting at 12:00 noon at Rick & Cathy Trachok’s Barn/yard. Thank you for hosting!

SNM will be celebrating the summer season with a catered luncheon! During this social event feel free to bring any special beverage you may crave (water and iced tea will be there). In order to get a headcount for the catering, please RSVP by August 30, 2026, to johnp@sierranevadamasters.org with your count.
